While we endeavour to keep all written and pictoral information as accurate and up to date as possible, these do change regularly. We cannot be responsible for any errors in the information on this site

Exchange Rate

Our overseas quotes are offered at a fair exchange rate. Should the exchange rate lower, we will not increase our quote. By the same token, refunds are not available should the exchange rate improve.

Booking Conditions

As an Agent, all our bookings are subject to the Terms & Conditions of each supplier, whether an accommodation supplier, transport provider or other. These include cancellation policies and changes to bookings.  Terms & Conditions of each individual supplier are available on request.

Insurance

We strongly advise comprehensive travel insurance is taken out for any travel arrangements as soon as you are booked; the majority of suppliers we work with state this is a mandatory condition. This covers not only incidents during your stay but also usually cancellation before departure, subject to conditions outlined by the relevant travel insurance provider. We are able to quote for travel insurance upon request. Please ensure you have read Terms & Conditions of your insurance provider and are able to purchase an adequate travel insurance policy before booking. 

Resort tax & extra charges

For efficiency, hotel and resort taxes are often included in our prices. Where this is not the case, we try to ensure we advise the amount due in resort in advance, however this information is not always advised to us in advance and therefore we cannot be held responsible for this omission. Please be aware that if the rate of tax changes, this is completely out of our control. Any increases will be passed onto the customer. 

Resort WiFi & TV signal

Many of our properties offer free wifi and TV. It can happen in resort that signal to either is lost due to weather or technical issues. The Travel Den cannot be held responsible for any inconveninence arising from this.

Accommodation facilites

Many of our properties have terrific facilities, such as hot tubs, pools, saunas etc. On rare occasions, these may be out of action. The Travel Den cannot be held responsible for the non-provision of any facilities and complaints should be addressed with the accommodation whilst in the relevant property.

The Travel Trust Financial Guarantee 

The Travel Trust Association is a trade association of Travel Agents, Tour Operators and Travel Organisers, that operate trust accounts, in order to provide financial protection for the consumer. The TTA lays down strict guidelines on how customer funds may be handled and each member must adhere to these guidelines. Every TTA member puts customer’s funds into a designated trust account, which is supervised by an independent trustee. The trustee is a Banker, Chartered or Certified Accountant, or Solicitor. Your funds are held in this account and may not be released unless you receive your holiday or your funds are released to another company that becomes responsible and provides for your financial protection.

The Travel Protection Plan covers every service which you have booked from a travel company whether it be for transport, accommodation, entertainment or recreation. It involves two aspects, firstly the Trust Account operated for your benefit. The money may only be released from the Trust to pay for the services which you have booked. Secondly there is further protection from a guarantee provided by the TTA if by reason of fraud or dishonesty, your money is not in the Trust Account under this guarantee, TTA will guarantee the financial obligation of its Members to repay such sum to you up to a maximum any one passenger of £11,000. So if you paid £2000 we guarantee we will reimburse the loss of the £2000, where it is not available for you from the Trust Account.

Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee

Every passenger booking travel arrangements through The Travel Den will be issued with a Stand Alone Safe Seat Plan Guarantee (SASSPG) within 72 hours of their booking being confirmed. For further details please click here.

Complaints

While we are very happy to offer assistance, The Travel Den acts as a booking agent only. All in resort complaints should be directed to the relevant suppliers via the emergency contact number given with your travel documents. Should the issue remain unresolved The Travel Den will act as your representative and liaise with the relevant supplier on your behalf.
